Brady Zordan was a model of consistency in Komoka. The Georgian Grizzlies golfer was one of just 16 competitors to shoot three straight rounds in the 70s at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Golf Championships hosted last week by Fanshawe College.
Zordan fired a 75 on his first day before shooting an even-par 71 on the second round. The Midhurst native shot a 73 on the last day of the tournament to finish at 6 over par, tying for second overall. He became the first Georgian golfer to medal at the OCAA tournament since Colton Kalkanis in the 2012-13 season.
Jeff Ash of Barrie was Georgian’s next-best scorer, putting up a 14th-place finish, while fellow Grizzlies Austin Gognavec (Parry Sound), Austin Morrison (Lloydminster, AB) and Luke Szent-Ivany (Pickering) finished 22nd, 24th and 30th, respectively.
Grizzlies finished fourth overall in team standings, missing out on a bronze medal by just 12 strokes.
