Union Duke, a popular five-piece folk group out of Toronto, will be appearing at Mariposa Folk Festival this year.
The band will be featuring music from their third record, Golden Days. The album was recorded live off the floor to capture the raw, joyful energy of their concerts. It’s a record of pain and struggle, lessons learned, and laughter.
The musicians – Ethan Smith, Jim McDonald, Matt Warry-Smith, Will Staunton, Rob McLaren -have been making music together for years. They are known from their soaring harmonies, soulful indie rock tunes with elements of bluegrass and country.
Catch Union Duke on the Mariposa Pub Stage Friday, July 5 at 7:30 p.m.
