Theatre Georgian Bay presents “(Mostly) Canadian Shorts”, a series of (mostly) Canadian short plays May 17-May 19.
The event, which includes a silent auction, is a fundraiser for the theatre company’s successful Bard on the Bay production. Last year’s show, performed on the picturesque banks of Georgian Bay, was Shakespeare’s As You Like it. This year’s summer show will feature The Comedy of Errors.
Theatre Georgian Bay is a collective of professional theatre artists from around Simcoe County. Richard Varty, Heather Dennis, and SST alumni Candy Pryce are Barrie-based actors who will be performing in the upcoming show of “(Mostly) Canadian Shorts”.
Three performances will be held in three different communities starting Friday, May 17 at The Huron Club, 94 Pine St., Collingwood (doors open at 7 p.m., show is at 8 p.m.); Saturday, May 18 at Bethany Church, 34 Trowbridge St. W, Meaford (doors open at 7 p.m., show is at 8 p.m.); and Sunday, May 19 at the KCP Studio, 481 Welham Rd, Unit 12, Barrie (doors open at 1 p.m. for a 2 p.m. show).
Admission for all shows is PWYC (pay what you can with a suggested minimum of $10).
