Taste of the Arts 2019 gets kids involved

In order to skip the line and know the exact start and end time for your child’s visit, contact Heather@gibsoncentre.com to pre-register. Walk-ins the day of the event will be accepted, but by registering you ensure your child’s placement and time slot, making it easier to plan your day. Pre-registering is also a great way to ensure that your child will have time to try all of the activities being offered. It takes two hours and 20 minutes to rotate through all the available activities. Kids can get started at 10 a.m. or 1:20 p.m.

Participants will be guided from activity to activity by staff and volunteers. It’s preferred that parents stay on the premises. Coffee, tea and some snacks will be for sale. If needed, you can sign your children in and pick them up when they are done, if you do choose, but you must sign them in and pick them up with a signature.

This event is for children in Grades 1-8. Children younger than six years old will be too young and unable to enjoy the activities prepared. Children must be comfortable participating without the presence of their parents as there isn’t room for that many people to be moving throughout the building at the same time.
