The annual Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival is set to flow April 7-8 at the Tiffin Conservation Area in Utopia.
Enjoy a pancake and sausage breakfast served daily until 2 p.m. Visitors will also get to watch as costumed re-enactors demonstrate Indigenous and pioneer methods of making maple syrup. Other activities include horse-drawn wagon rides, crafts, live music, a “Zoo to You” animal show and visits from local fire and police officers.
Tiffin’s scenic hiking trails will be open and for a small fee of $5 visitors can build a bird feeder to take home.
The all-inclusive admission (cash only), which includes breakfast, is $12 for adults, $6 for kids 12 and under and free for infants.
Tiffin maple syrup and other Simcoe County maple products will also be on sale.
Located at 8195 8th Line, Essa, the Tiffin Centre is located 10 minutes west of Barrie. Watch for the signs.
