Happy trails on ice.

The scenic Simcoe County Museum Skate Trail is now open. The local ice trail, spanning more than one kilometre in length, travels through the Museum’s heritage buildings, historic equipment displays and forest pathways.

The skate trail is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weather permitting).

Rates can be found on the website and include admission to the Simcoe County Museum, which is located at 1151 Highway 26, just minutes north of Barrie.

The Simcoe County Museum is owned and operated by the County of Simcoe and offers year round exhibits, events and educational programs for visitors of all ages.
