The Barrie Sharks are ready to be back in the pink. The fourth annual Melissa Sutton ICE’d PINK Day Fundraiser is set for Oct. 28 at the Barrie Molson Centre.
A total of eight Shark teams, from the Barrie Women’s Hockey Association, will face off against various opponents in support of the Canadian Cancer Society during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The day-long event, which has raised more than $40,000, will also honour those members of the Sharks family who have been affected by breast cancer.
The action kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and runs through the final game, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. A suggested donation of $2 will be collected at the door from those who would like to contribute.
Special pink treats, soup and coffee, courtesy of McDonald’s, will be available to fans to purchase through the day. All proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Fans are asked to enter through the east doors of the Barrie Molson Centre.
