Members of the RVH Auxiliary, affectionately known as the ‘Blue Brigade’, recently collected donations at storefronts across Barrie and area during the annual Tag Days event raising an amazing $11,224.
This year, donations will go towards the Auxiliary’s $2 million pledge to support RVH’s Simcoe Muskoka Regional Heart Program and the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Child and Youth Mental Health Program.
“Over the past 30 years, Tag Days has raised more than $450,000 to support RVH patients and their families,” says Lise McCourt, president of the RVH Auxiliary. “This year, we invited the community to come out and help support our pledge to RVH. We made it easy for people to find us as we all donned our bright blue vests and were stationed at 18 different locations. The community did not disappoint and showed great kindness and support. We couldn’t do what we do without this great community behind us.”
