Members of the RVH Auxiliary, affectionately known as the ‘Blue Brigade’, will be collecting donations at storefronts across Barrie and area during the annual Tag Days fundraiser on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15.
This year, donations will go towards the RVH Auxiliary’s $2 million pledge to support RVH’s Simcoe Muskoka Regional Heart Program and the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Child and Youth Mental Health Program.
“Over the past 30 years, Tag Days has raised nearly $450,000 to support RVH patients and their families,” says Lise McCourt, president of the RVH Auxiliary. “This year, we want to welcome all members of the community to come out and continue that tradition and support our pledge to the hearts and minds of RVH. It won’t be hard to miss our volunteers as they man stations at 18 different locations dressed in their bright blue vests.”
Keep an eye out for members of the Auxiliary at the following Barrie locations: Beer Store, Bradford Gallery Greenhouse, Canadian Tire, Loblaws, No Frills, and Zehrs.
Other locations include the Craighurst Foodland and the Angus, Alcona and Stroud Beer Store.
