Oro-Medonte Township and the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) are formalizing plans for the development of a joint-use facility to include an elementary school for 357 students, an EarlyON Child and Family Centre and community centre.
After investigating potential locations, staff from both partners identified a township-owned property located east of the intersection of Horseshoe Valley Road and Line 4 North (known as 739 Horseshoe Valley Road West) as the preferred site. The project presents an opportunity to provide residents and students with a facility and services in a cost-effective manner that maximizes the benefits to the community.
More information, including anticipated completion dates and partnership details, will be shared as they become available.
Public consultation and engagement sessions pertaining to community centre opportunities and needs will be held in July or August. When dates are finalized, the community will be notified .
