Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation congratulates the Nottawasaga Foundation for reaching a 25-year milestone. The Nottawasaga Foundation works tirelessly to raise vital funds for Stevenson Memorial Hospital and other local charities. Supporting Stevenson Memorial Hospital has remained a priority for the Foundation, which has provided over $3.85 million towards critical equipment needs for areas of the hospital such as the Dialysis Clinic, Digital Mammography, Birthing Centre, Renovation of Emergency Department, and much more.
Stevenson Memorial Hospital recently launched a multi-year $8 million Transforming Stevenson Campaign and the Nottawasaga Foundation generously decided to mark their incredible 25-year milestone by presenting the hospital with a gift of $ 1 million towards the this campaign, and redevelopment of the hospital.
“We are thrilled to wish the Nottawasaga Foundation a momentous anniversary, and we thank the Foundation for their long-time support. We are honoured that the hospital is the recipient of a $1 million gift in celebration of their 25 years of service to local community charities,” remarked Dr. Jody Levac, CEO & President, Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
The Transforming Stevenson Campaign is the hospital’s first step in raising the funds needed to introduce new innovative technologies and critical equipment that is vital to the success of the future redeveloped hospital. This $8 million campaign has three major areas of investment; including the implementation of SHINE – One Patient, One Record (Shared Health Information Network Exchange), annual critical equipment needs, and redevelopment planning costs.
On July 21, the Nottawasaga Foundation held its 25th Annual Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction Fundraiser at the Resort. This one day fundraiser has received tremendous support from the local community and businesses. The tournament raised over $406,000 in 2016.
The Nottawasaga Foundation was established as a public foundation to carry on the spirit of the Nottawasaga Resort’s previous philanthropic and charitable initiatives. The main objective of the Foundation has been to continue expanding the scope of funding to local charities that provide invaluable services to our community. Over the past 24 years, they have raised more than $5.3 million dollars for charity.
