Barrie Police are asking for the public’s assistance after items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle Friday, April 26, 2019 at Kozlov Mall.

Police responded to a call at the Kozlov Mall, located at 400 Bayfield St., after the owner of a vehicle parked in the parking lot reported that two mobile devices were stolen from their unlocked car.

A canvass of businesses in the area helped provide police with a timeline and video surveillance that shows a male suspect entering the unlocked car at 4:17 p.m. and then walking away quickly toward Bayfield Street after the theft.

The suspect being sought is described as a white male with short brown hair and a clean shaven face. He was wearing a red baseball hat, a black jacket with a hood and black pants with white at the ankles, possibly Adidas. He was also sporting a black backpack and had black shoes with white soles.

Barrie Police remind the public to never leave any valuables in your car and always make sure your car is always locked when it is left unattended.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Constable Wyville of the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025, ext. 2508 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
