James Barker Band New Single

It’s been a worldwind year for the James Barker Band and the excitement continues into 2019. The JUNO and Canadian Country Music Award winners recently released their new single “Keep It Simple” through Universal Music Canada.

The band’s lead vocalist James Barker wanted to push the boundaries a bit with the new song, the first piece of music released in over a year. Calling it fun and upbeat, he feels it will be a blast to play live.

Formed in 2013, founding members include Taylor Abram (who is originally from Barrie), Bobby Martin, and Connor Stephen. Together, they have taken the country music scene by storm.

After winning the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase in 2015, the band kicked off 2019 playing the prestigious Country To Country (C2C) Festival in the United Kingdom, where they were the only Canadian act on the bill.

Last year, they headlined a national tour; performing in 22 cities across the country and played major music festivals throughout North America, including direct support to Keith Urban on his arena tour. More Canadian summer festivals are slated to follow and the band expects to play a return engagement at the Kee To Bala July 19-20.
