Spring fever is right around the corner and that means it’s time for the 10th annual Ladies Day at Snow Valley in Barrie.

The theme for this year’s event, which will be held March 2, is “Garden Party on Snow” and will feature special guest speaker Frank “Frankie Flowers” Ferragine. The award winning horticulturalist and Toronto television personality is known for his ability to combine practical gardening advice with humour. He also enjoys sharing his passion for everything outdoors.

“There’s a fresh theme every year, so this garden theme was because we thought it’d be fun to have a local celebrity type person in and that was Frankie,” Snow Valley school director Pamela Disera explained.

Cost to register for the Garden Party is $139 or $119 with a valid Snow Valley pass. That cost includes your lift ticket, morning lessons, breakfast and lunch, with activities kicking off 9 a.m.

Participants will also get a swag and gift bag, with various other prizes available.

“It’s a full day of skiing for women at any level and it’s taught by women,” Disera said. “We cover from ever never. right up to the expert level. It starts with a breakfast, two hours on snow and then goes to a full on lunch. Then there’s another hour-and-a-half on snow and then there’s a big social.”

Those interested are encouraged to register early, as space is limited.
