It’s a Comedy of Errors in Collingwood.

Theatre Georgian Bay chose Shakespeare’s farcical The Comedy of Errors for its 4th annual Bard on the Bay performance.

The collective of professional theatre artists from around Simcoe County and special guests tell the story of two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth. A series of wild mishaps, mistaken identities follow as well as wrongful beatings, a near-seduction, the arrest of Antipholus of Ephesus, and false accusations of infidelity, theft, madness, and demonic possession.

This show has it all. Candy Pryce, a founding member of TGB, directs the show.  Four members of the TBG Collective are participating: Jackie Rose Brown, Heather Dennis, Nadia Mear, and Richard Varty. Guest artists for this show include Emily Cully, Tayves Fiddis, Jen MacKinnon, Nancy Smokler, and Baron Watson.

Watch the action unfold at outdoors at the Collingwood Shipyards Amphitheatre, located on Maple St., Saturday to Monday throughout July until Aug. 5.  BYOC – bring your own chair or cushion.  The show goes on rain or shine.  Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can with a suggested donation of $15.
