Starting Sept. 7, the Town of Innisfil is accepting applications for the Inspiring Innisfil Grant Fund. With nearly $105,000 available, Innisfil residents and local organizations are encouraged to apply for funding to assist with initiatives that support the community, tourism, arts, culture and heritage, and the economy. Visit the town website (innisfil.ca/grants) to find out if you are eligible.
“We’ve seen the Inspiring Innisfil Fund play a vital role in our community by supporting schools, local sports teams, cultural events and non-profit organizations,” said Innisfil Mayor Gord Wauchope. “If you’ve ever had an idea for a project or initiative that could make Innisfil an even greater place, we strongly encourage you to apply.”
In the past year, the Innisfil Grant Review Committee has allocated nearly $65,000 to seven community groups for a range of great projects including cultural events, local sports team initiatives, the efforts of non-profit organizations and more. Just under $600,000 has been distributed into the community over the past four years with 67 successful applications since 2014.
Application forms are available on the town website or at town hall. Original, signed, completed application forms can be mailed to Innisfil Town Hall, 2101 Innisfil Beach Rd.
