Huronia Museum Film Series brings high calibre cinema to Midland Ontario

Beginning as a fundraiser for Huronia Museum in 1998, the Huronia Museum Film Series runs every Wednesday between September and May. As part of a program begun by the Toronto International Film Festival the Huronia Museum Film Series “brings festival calibre films to Midland moviegoers”. The series offers a mix of Canadian, International and Independent films not usually available to small-town cinemas.

Show times are at 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Wednesday evenings at the Galaxy Theatre Midland. Remaining films in this year’s series include Oscar-nominated Japanese language film Shoplifters, on February 27th,  Leave No Trace on  March 6th, Stan&Ollie, the true story of Laurel and Hardy’s farewell tour on March 20th, Vincent van Gogh biopic At Eternity’s Gate on March 27th, and The Woman Who Loves Giraffes on April 3rd.

Prospective moviegoers can purchase tickets in advance at the Huronia Museum until 3 pm on the date of the film or at the Galaxy Theatre just prior to showtime, subject to availability. Six-packs of tickets are also available which provide admission to any six of the films. Tickets are $10 each or $54 for a six-pack.
