Hospital donations will be doubled

A local foundation is doubling the impact of every donation made to the
Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s (SMHF) COVID-19 Pandemic Response Fund.

The Morningview Foundation announced May 1 that they will match up to $150,000 to
the fund, which will cover costs such as equipment, supplies, and other priority needs as Stevenson
Memorial Hospital (SMH) fights this pandemic on the front-lines. Every gift made to the fund will
be matched dollar for dollar.

“It is our sincere pleasure to provide this matching gift to support SMH as they battle COVID-19 on
the front- lines,” say representatives of The Morningview Foundation. “We are grateful for the
hospital staff who are working hard to keep everyone safe. Our hope is this matching gift inspires
the community to rally behind SMH, and together we can make a real difference.”

The Morningview Foundation is a long-time supporter of the SMHF. Their gifts over the years have
improved nearly every department in the hospital, including the Medical-Surgical Unit, the
Diagnostic Imaging Department, the Operating Room, and beyond.

“We are honoured to work alongside compassionate people like those at the Morningview Foundation,
who share our commitment to quality health care close to home,” says Tanya Wall, Executive
Director, SMHF. “Because of them, every gift to the COVID-19 Pandemic Response Fund will make
twice the difference at SMH. Thank you for your incredible generosity and kindness in these
uncertain times.”
