Sign up your street hockey team for the Tim Horton’s Hockeyfest, being held in partnership with the Barrie Colts on June 15-16 at the Barrie Molson Centre.
Barrie is just one of numerous locations across North America that Hockeyfest will be making a stop, including Chicago’s United Center and the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
Cost per team to register is $495, plus tax. Each team is guaranteed four games, with each game consisting of two 15-minute halves with a five-minute intermission.
The tournament features 4-on-4 street hockey for divisions of all ages and genders. Each game is played on 50 per cent to scale NHL sized rinks with real boards, real netting and real referees.
During the day DJ’s will spin music throughout the day, with live music at night. There’ll be plenty of food and beverage vendors on hand and you can kill time between games by playing interactive games such as the hardest shot, mini stick rink, shooting accuracy and more.
Youth divisions range form seven under boys/girls (2012 and under) all the way to 19 and under boys and girls recreational and competitive teams. Adult divisions include a men’s recreational, men’s intermediate, men’s competitive, women’s recreational, women’s competitive, co-ed recreational and co-ed competitive.
Under seven and under nine teams are 4-on-4, plus a goalie with nine player rosters. All other divisions are 3-on-3, plus a goalie with seven player rosters. All divisions can add an extra player for an additional $50.
