Grant supports Kempenfelt Community Players

Kempenfelt Community Players has been producing shows for over 40 years and has been the
recipient of awards at the Association of Community Theatre and local readers’ choice awards. None
of this could be possible without the generous help of grantors like the Trillium Foundation and our
volunteers. “Every year hundreds of people come through the door of our rehearsal studio intent on
following their dreams of being in theatre, whether it’s on the stage or behind it,” said Andrée
Day. “And, being able to provide them with the tools required to pursue their dream and give the
audience quality performing is a privilege.”

The grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation made it possible for KCP to purchase much needed
sound and lighting equipment. “The impact of the OTF Grant cannot be underestimated,” states Day.
“These upgrades not only benefit us during our productions at Georgian Theatre but allow us to
access other venuew who do not have the necessary equipment in place.”

The Ontario Trillium Foundation provided Kempenfelt Community Players with a grant for $24,100.
