Liam Gray’s outstanding play has continued to get him the recognition he deserves.

The Georgian Grizzlies stalwart volleyball player was officially named a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Canadian during the awards presentation in Victoria, B.C.

Gray, the regular Grizzlies setter, was the only Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) player to average more than 10 assists per set, at 10.05, and he also led Georgian in service aces. The third-year player, is the only men’s volleyball player in team history to have been named a CCAA All-Canadian.

Ten student-athletes (two per conference) are named CCAA All-Canadians and Gray earned the honour for the second year in a row as one of a pair of nominated players from the OCAA.

The Barrie native and former Innisdale Invader has been an integral part of Georgian’s last two OCAA east division titles, helping the Grizzlies post a regular-season record of 35-1 in the process.
