Unleash your inner super hero and accelerate your career or land your dream job – on your own schedule – no cape required.
If you’re thinking about updating your skills or continuing your education, you probably have lots of questions. The staff at Georgian College will help you explore your options and provide answers at the college’s Part-time Studies Info Night.
“To stay competitive in today’s fast-paced work environment, it’s important for everyone to update their skills on a continual basis,” said Mary Johnston, director of Part-time Studies and Workforce Development. “At Georgian, we make professional development and lifelong learning easy by offering a large selection of part-time courses in flexible formats.”
Barrie resident Mildred Gonzalez earned her Recreation and Leisure Services diploma by doing her studies part-time.
“Taking this program part-time gave me the chance to implement and put in practice the knowledge gained,” said Gonzalez. “I really believe that you learn best when you put together knowledge and experience.”
Drop by the Barrie Campus between 5 and 7 p.m. on May 14 and learn more about Part-time Studies programs and courses including bookkeeping (available online), photography, practical nursing, human resources management, therapeutic recreation and more.
You will also learn about part-time program and course options and learn about all the available resources to help you get started.
The fee for any part-time applications completed that evening will be waived. You can RSVP or you can just drop in.
The 2018-19 Part-time Studies program guide is also available online.
