It’s more than just fun in the water.
The annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival is all ready to make another splash August 24th at Heritage Park and Kempenfelt Bay in Barrie.
Hosted by the Barrie Public Library, the annual boat race has raised more than $1.75 million for charities in Barrie and the surrounding area since first taking to the waters back in 2003.
There’s plenty of activities for the whole family to take part in when you bring them down to watch the Dragon Boat races. Kids can spend time in the children’s activity area and adults can enjoy the live entertainment in the beer garden. You can also spend some time shopping all the local vendors on site.
Admission is free and the event runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.barriedragonboatfestival.ca.
