Local band Cudbear is on a roll. The trio recently opened for Ill Scarlet at Mavricks and in August, they will be performing with Cousin Jack at the The Foxx Lounge Rock Bar & Hotdoggery.

Cudbear is also working on their first album slated for release later this year.

The grunge metal garage band has become known for a combination of 90’s grunge, rock n’ roll, punk, and modern alternative music. It makes for a unique sound that is both emotional and raw.

Band members are all from Barrie. Bennett Jones plays guitar, Adam Polan plays bass, Derek Stewart is the drummer and all three contribute vocals.

Cousin Jack is a trio with ‘yacht punk rock vibes’ from Barrie.  Band members include Lucas Millar on guitar/vocals; Jake Thompson drums and vocals; Cameron Stevenson contributes bass, key, and vocals.

The19+ show starts at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 at The Foxx Lounge Rock Bar & Hotdoggery in downtown Barrie.
