Keep Barrie looking beautiful and help raise environmental awareness and social responsibility by signing up to take part in one of four Spring into Clean events being organized, in April, by the City of Barrie. Last year more than 19,000 residents took part and collected upwards of 7.5 tonnes of litter while helping to clean up almost 160,000 square meters of land.
This year’s events, which take place during Earth Week, include Student Participation Day on April 20, Waterfront Cleanup Day, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on April 21, Community Cleanup Days on April 21-22 and Corporate Cleanup Days, running April 20-22.
Registration is now open. Sign up your family, school, community group or company by filling out the form at barrie.ca. No registration is needed for the Waterfront Cleanup Day.
Once the registration form is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email and all the information needed for your cleanup. For more information, contact [email protected]
Partnership opportunities are also available, allowing you to build brand recognition through the City of Barrie promotion campaign, which includes radio and print advertising, website and printed materials. Spring Into Clean partners contribute toward providing a variety of activities at no cost to participants. Opportunities start at $500. Contact [email protected] for more information.
