More than 30 musicians are slated to join the 2nd annual Troubadour Festival. The multi-genre music festival will be held at in multiple venues in Barrie Sept. 20-21.
Local singer/songwriter Dani Strong joins Matt Andersen, Cowboy Junkies, Bedouin Soundclash, Old Man Luedecke, The East Pointers, Danny Michel, Little Scream, Andrew Hyatt, Damhnait Doyle, Dani Strong, My Son The Hurricane, Jerry Leger & The Situation and others.
Strong’s song Not Right Now was nominated for two awards at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Her debut album won two awards at the international 2018 IMA for Best Country Song and Best Country Album.
Various passes allow concert-goers into different shows and are available from the festival office just before the festival starts. Several venues – Mavrick’s Music Hall, Foxx Lounge, and Temple Lounge – are 19+ shows. All other venues have free admission for children age 12 and under.
