Canada’s internationally acclaimed Hamilton Children’s Choir is slated to appear in the new Barrie Concerts season.
Over its 44 year history, the Hamilton Children’s Choir has seen more than 1700 children and youth participate in the choir, performing and travelling around the world.
Zimfira Poloz has transformed the artistic and educational approach of the choir since she became the artistic director in 2003. The choir has ventured on more than 10 international tours in the past 13 years and participated in five international competitions where they have earned the Grand Prize Award. They are sought after in this country too and have performed in Barrie in the past.
The Barrie Concerts season features an eclectic mix of music, performers, and entertainment.
From Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony, The Pastoral, to The Kerry Stratton Orchestra, the award-winning Hannaford Silver Band, to Austria’s teenage violin sensation Elisso Gogibedashwili, there’s something for everyone.
