Local singer-songwriter Angie Nussey joins the Songwriter Series in Barrie May 7.
After five full-length albums, 12 years of touring, and over 15 industry awards for songwriting, vocals, and performance, including Best Song, Best Vocal performance and Female Performer of the year, Nussey is currently recording her new album, Wisdom and Foolishness. It captures the wise and foolish sides of her nature.
She will be appearing with two other artists/groups. Harrow Fair features Miranda Mulholland and Andrew Penner with a mix of stomping songs that echo early country and rock ‘n’ roll and gritty, haunted yet sweet ballads. Their debut full-length album is “call to arms”.
John Muirhead is an indie-folk rocker from London. He has released his second EP, reflective of his influences, called Foundational.
Local singer-songwriter Brett Caswell hosts the evening, Tuesday, May 7 at the Temple Lounge, Donaleigh’s Irish Public House, 28 Dunlop St. E., downtown Barrie, 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, available through songwriterseries.ca.
