The Gibson Centre, in Alliston, started their School of Arts program in 2016 thanks to a $75,000 seed grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The program has allowed them to offer after-school programming for grade-school children, which they are now able to expand after receiving a follow-up $340,000 Grow grant.

The funding will be issued over a three-year period, giving the Gibson the means to expand their music, visual and dramatic arts and public speaking programs as well as include a culinary arts class. The goal is to engage elementary school-aged children and encourage their growth.
